"For whatever a man sows, that he
will also reap." (Galatians 6:7b) In
nine simple words the scripture
describes what might be the most
powerful and pervasive principle of life
on earth.
And this is a good thing, for it gives
us the encouragement that our heavenly
Father will bless and reward our
faithful work for Him. For in God's
providence, we not only reap what we
sow, we reap more than what we sow. We
see this in the life of Isaac when the
Scripture declares in Genesis 26:12.
"Then Isaac sowed in that land, and
reaped in the same year a hundredfold:
and the Lord blessed him." How
encouraging it is to know that in sowing
love, we shall surely reap mercy; that
in sowing kindness, we shall surely reap
kindness!
